Here’s a nice sightseeing spot that is actually right on Texas State’s campus! This spot is a hilly-sided area surrounded by trees. It’s a beautiful spot and it is located around the old amphitheater on campus. It is right next to Harris dining hall, so it’s a great spot if you want to have a nice stroll or relax after a meal.
I took this picture around last year when it first snowed. Many students explored this area and had the best time; sliding on plastic boxes as sleds. Over the warmer months, many people have picnics and take naps in the grass. There are many pretty flowers that grow here which are great for pictures! Some can even be seen taking their graduation photos here.
If you keep walking down this area, there’s a small river and a little teepee made out of sticks and hanging vines. It almost looks like a fairy garden. Overall this spot shows the beauty on the Texas State campus. It’s a nice and discreet spot that provides a great break from the stresses of college life.
