This blog was a new and fun experience to me. It was nice to put some of my editing and writing skills to the test in creating original content. I had never done this before, but soon after starting, I realized this may be something I would like to continue to do on my own time. I found that people like viewing your content especially when it’s made solely by you. Others like to observe what goes on in your life that isn’t as public.
Promoting my posts via Twitter was an effective way to reach an audience, because these people already enjoy my Twitter content, why wouldn’t they be interested in seeing more? I could improve some aspects of my site by incorporating content that could reach a wider audience. For example, instead of just focusing on places around my area, I could branch out and include places closer to those viewing my content would be.
In creating this blog, it could help me with future opportunities by showing those interested in employing me that I have experience in creating content for the public and posting what others would want to see. Taking into account the types of photos that are more capturing to the eye. These tools could be beneficial to me in the future, going into a job with knowledge of how things work.
My most popular week was the third week of November. My post “Sightseeing on Campus” attained the most views. I imagine the reason for this was because it reached a wider audience that would be interested in this specific material.
